Suggestion for helping users with PHP

You can try to install an 1.x version of this plugin.

Even handier would be to include the link to where 1.x versions can be obtained – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/geoip-detect/developers/ – a lot of users will not know to click on the “Developers” tag to find these. Sadly, experience shows that PHP 5.2 is still out there (I recently had to help two new users of a plugin relying on this one, for unrelated PHP 5.2-only issues).

Perhaps even a direct download link to the 1.8 release, as presumably there aren’t going to be any more 1.x releases.
