    I can’t get the index/home/landing to show only a summary/excerpt of posts.

    I have selected “Show Summary” instead of “Full Text” in the reading options but this doesn’t seem to help. I’ve tried about every solution I could find and none of them worked so this is my last resort.

    The “Show Summary” setting in “Settings > Reading” does not control whether summaries are shown on the blog itself, but whether summaries should be displayed in the RSS feed of the site.

    To change to summaries for all posts on the site itself, you’d either have to insert a Read more tag in every single post or edit the PHP files of the theme.
