Sunspot?
-
WordPress sent out an email with a great looking theme called “sunspot.” I can’t find it in the “install themes” or on ww.wp.xz.cn. Is it only available to people who are hosting their sites with WordPress, or is there a zip file I can download or what?

It’s available right now via SVN at this link.

This topic came up about a week ago, give this forum thread a read. It may help you to use TortoiseSVN to get that theme too.

Okay, thanks much. That’s a start, at least.
Trying to figure out right now. I’m on a Mac, so the TortoiseSVN is out. Trying to figure out how to handle the subfolders on the Revision 9164 page now.Probably more questions after I’ve messed this up a couple of times.
Went to the Mac App Store and they have a free app called “Sourcetree” that is a very sophisticated SVN whatever they do.
BTW, the site certificate for Automattic is not trusted, but it works fine. Uploaded to my themes directory as folder “sunspot” and everything works perfectly.
@jan, thanks, you nailed it perfectly.Next problem…
I was able to install the theme – thanks! But…
I want my pictures to show up like they do when I click on them on the Images and Alignment page. Like this with the mouse zoomer: http://sunspotdemo.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/mcm_6965.jpg
Is there a plugin for that?
@dellana,
I think that you just make a link to open the photo in a new window. The zoom feature is a function of all modern browsers.If you do an html like:
<a href="http:\\yourwebsite.com\image.jpg" target="new">insert text or <img src="http:\\yourwebsite.com\img.jpg" height="500"></a>It should open in a new window, and the browser should take care of the zooming.
If you go to my site, and click on the photos, they open the full gallery in a new window. You’d be doing the same thing, except linking to an image.
BTW, am revamping the web site, so it’s a little funky right now. If you wish, post a link to your blog. I’d like to see some of your work.Wow! Thanks!
Your photos are great. They really capture the “feel” of the events.I really like how your photos work! Is that a plugin?
Ideally, I would like this to happen:
– Open to a specific page on my site (say Folding Knives), where a gallery of my pieces can be seen.
– Click on a photo, it opens to a new page where I would have a smaller “gallery” of the main photo with detailed shots so people can go in and zoom those to really see my work.Thanks for all your help!
Oops!
I obviously don’t know how to make a link like you did. There was supposed to be a sentence that says “here’s my website” that you clicked and it took you to my site. Maybe like this:
@dellana:
May you can this option to get your image for seen the fullscreen mode at other tab browser without linking to another site (here is avaible option on your own url)Here is bellow the step you can follow:
1. Turn into your image location
mean: – if your image were inside your post/page you must EDIT them (POST/PAGE) again by pushing it on your dashboard and if the post/page has opened and avaible to edit (on your word post, viewer and editor),2. Next step, you can CLICK ON YOUR IMAGE which you can got like a mountain-view logo (there is any word tag EDIT IMAGE) click that logo,
3. So now you got javascript view on your browser, right?. after that, you can bring your mouse to LINK TO IMAGE option. click that, there is will automatic generate your own link,
4. The last step, don`t forget to click on UPDATE for saving your preference,
5. All step is done and you can UPDATE your post/page change.
Don`t forget to check it was working.
for sample you can see my post at HERE
also you can see that working like HERE
good luck
