Super Admin role in Multisite, lite version plugin?

    I need to have a user in my multisite installation that can create sites but limit super admin rights to just that. I have searched high and low for a plug-in but cannot locate anything?

    I tried using Capability Manger, creating a new role and adding manage_sites capability to the new role. Unfortunately, it did not work 🙁

    Does anyone know of a plugin or a way to do this?

    It doesn’t exist.

    You know users on the site can all create new sites if you have it enabled, yes? OR you;re just trying to restrict new site creation to certain users?

    That will work in the meantime, thanks, I had forgotten about that. Ideally I am looking for a Super Admin “light” though…any idea when 3.1 is really going to drop into production?

    While we are getting a lot closer to a 3.1 release, there’s nothing like this in it.
