    I manage some multisite networks and noticed that if I’m not in the list of users of some determined site in the network, I can’t add or see users on this site. However, my profile is a Super Admin in the network. If I disable AAM and put my user like an administrator of this site in particular my access to the management of users comes back.

    This started after update to 5.0 version of AAM. I think that if I’m a Super Admin, I must have all access, despite of the roles of AAM.

    I could add my profile to all sites, but I think that is a mistake and not necessary. Please, verify if that could be changed in the next release.

    Hi @lrech,

    Thank you for the feedback. You are correct about this behavior and it is not related to AAM 5.0 update.

    As far as I remember, this is how WordPress core works. If you do not have your admin user added to the site, you will not have ability to manage users. It is annoying but this is how WordPress works.

    The Super Admin is not even a role. It is a combination of exceptions and hacks glued together to give you ability to manage Multisite Networks so you will experience some odd things.

    Keep me updated.

    Hi Vasyl! Thanks for your attention!

    I don’t know, but I think that is not a problem with WP. See, if I disable AAM, even if my profile isn’t in the list of administrators of a particular site, I can add or see the users.

    I’ve tried now, again. My user “lrech” is Super Admin and I removed it with another Super Admin of a particular site with AAM activated. The management of users is gone: “No users found”. Deactivating AAM all users is shown to me again. I can reproduce this behavior in all multisite network I manage here.

    Besides, this behavior started after the update.

    @lrech,

    Gotcha. I might did not understand you correctly. I’ll double check what possibly may cause the problem.

    I’ll keep you updated.

    @lrech,

    I’ve checked your feedback and can’t reproduce the issue. I do not have any problems seeing or adding new users to site where my admin user is not added to the list of users. That is quite odd issue and I’ll try to dig deeper.

    Here happens exactly like I said. Deactivating AAM, everything ok, or, with AAM active, I have to be an administrator of the site, even if I am a Super Admin in the network.

    Could be some plugin iteraction. It’s odd and annoying!

    Anyway, thanks for your attention, @vasyltech!

    Hi @lrech,

    I was able to allocate the issue and it is fixed already in the dev version
    https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/advanced-access-manager.zip. It will be included in the upcoming 5.0.2 release.

    Thank you,
    Vasyl
