We have a client sending newsletters in French and Italian, however, they would like to add superscript and subscript to their p-tags (and if possible headings) in the newsletters built with MailPoet. Is that possible? And if so, how?

I tried to open the code version of the text and add or HTML-Tags, but it doesn’t really work — it’s not saved like that. (I can save, but once I re-open the code, the HTML tags for superscript and subscript are gone.)

    Can you help?

    Hi @simea ,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your issue with formatting in emails.

Could you please clarify for us if you are editing these emails in the MailPoet email editor? Could you confirm if this issue is coming from any published post being sent as an email newsletter?

Please share a screenshot of the text with the formatting in your emails, just as an example for us to understand this issue better.

We look forward to hearing back from you as soon as possible.

Sure yeah I am in the MailPoet editor (the regular one, not alpha).

This is not when we add posts but when we create a newsletter manually.

I filmed a short screenvideo for you to see the issue here.

Thanks a lot for recording a video. That helps!

I’m afraid that the MailPoet editor doesn’t have Superscript and Subscript available in the current formatting options. Also, setting that up with custom HTML wouldn’t work because the editor automatically removes custom HTML due to the rendering process ensuring maximum compatibility across a range of email clients as outlined here.

It’s not on our roadmap to add these formatting options now, but you’re welcome to add it as a suggestion here: https://feedback.mailpoet.com

Our team will take it into account when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin. 🙂

    Thank you!

I get it, thanks for the feedback, I’ll check back with the client and we can add that as a feature request. Thanks for helping out!
