It’s in the plan and you will see it soon. We’re little unsure how to do it well, as to allow users to show CPT properly, as they usually don’t have the same fields as Post/Page.

PS: Which post type do you want to show, as in to understand the usage?
Sounds great! I am using the very common “Custom Post Type UI” Plugin to create different Post types. Main reason to do that is to have Post navigation separated (e.g. Posts are for standard blog posts, and e.g. a CPT “Portfolio” to present Portfolios), and to have different default settings for different post types, if theme is supporting this.
Your current display options for your post block are sufficient from my point of view, only adding “tags” could make some sense.
