Survey Disappeared

    Hi. Sorry to report another, but I’m having an issue with a survey. I had a few new people fill out my survey tonight, and the survey just seemed to disappear. When I look at the “Your Survey Results”, no surveys show. I looked in the wp_options table and some of the data is there, but it seems to be truncated about halfway through. It ends in the middle of a text comment, without any kind of closing brackets.

    I was wondering if the large amount of text might have caused it to crash, or maybe something happened during the write operation.

    Either way, I’m planning on creating an identical survey and try again.

    I have preserved the data if you want to see it.

    Jim,

    I just wanted to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about this, unfortunately I also haven’t gotten very far with figuring out what the issue is either – I suspect some special character in the input text truncated the data, but it’s a real challenge to piece back together since it contains serialized data that has been edited….

    No problem. I was a programmer in my distant past and I know how difficult it is to troubleshoot transient problems like this. If there’s anything I can do to help just let me know.

    I don’t know much about WordPress, but is there any way to store the data in a table of some sort?

    Anyway it hasn’t happened again. (and I’m backing up my data every few days as a precaution)
