    ——– Message from My hosting company
    Dear Customer,

    Following our automatic Antivirus scans, we have detected the presence of some infected files that could compromise your websites.
    These files have probably been uploaded through vulnerabilities in the CMS, themes or plugins you use.
    We therefore recommend that you check the files listed below and delete them if you believe they have actually been altered.
    Remember to always keep your sites (CMS/themes/plugins) updated to the latest versions available online.
    If you believe that your site is compromised, after securing it, change the access credentials to the administration panel.

    Hi @markzoi,

    In the plugin as available on the repository there are no malicious files. If you can show an example, I can tell you if it actually exists in the original plugin.

    You can also re-install the plugin from WordPress to ensure there are only original files.

    Thanks for replay here is the report from my hosting;

    File Firma antivirus Data modifica file Quarantena
    /home2/dvtuscan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/burst-statistics/helpers/referrer-spam-list/spammers.txt SecuriteInfo.com.Spam-3448 2025-02-13 22:01:26 no

    That’s definitely a false positive: it is a legitimate file, used to identify spammers that are visiting your website.

    This is what my hosting just replayed to me … I will ask them how we can manage it … any suggestions? Thanks for your replay and the great plugin you are working on

    Hi @markzoi You can just tell your hosting company that they should ignore this warning, and add it to the safe list. It is a valid file, their scan is incorrectly identifying it as issue.

    If they want they can contact us for questions: support(at)burst-statistics.com
