    Hello everyone,

I am pretty new to WordPress. I made a new wordpress site where I could learn a couple of things in. I installed the plug-in and added the plug-in into the site. I selected to show one post with the facebook feed (the one where you could see the likes). Is there a way to get the post under the feed? I searched quite a bit but I can’t seem to find a solution.

  • Hey Robnoff,

Without being able to view your current plugin settings or having access to the site page it is a bit difficult to give you the most accurate answer to your question.

However… to help get you going in the proper direction and test the feed further could I have you create a test page on your site. On that test page enter this shortcode: [custom-facebook-feed id=nike num=1 likeboxpos=bottom] Save changes on the page and then view the page.

If the plugin is set up correctly you should see one single post from the Nike Facebook Page account and the Like Box will be under the post at the bottom of the feed.

If that is not working then there are other settings that we would need to inspect to make sure the plugin was set up correctly. Then I would ask that you submit a support request by following this link.

When submitting the support request please include your plugin’s System Info. This provides us with the best information about the settings being used, allowing us to pinpoint problems quicker and provide you with a faster solution.

To get your plugin’s System Info go to your:

WordPress DashBoard – Facebook Feed – Settings – Support (tabbed page) –
Select all text in the info box, copy and paste your ‘System Info’ into your reply. Also provide the shortcode you are currently using on the site page.

We will be happy to assist you further if necessary.

Hey, thanks for your answer. I copied your shortcode, and indeed is what you described so there isn’t a problem with the plug in. But what if I want to switch the positions from those two boxes. I want to try to get the Page Account above the posts. Can I manage to do that with a custom css, or can I just do it in the option page?

Hey! I got it working! I read to quick through the options so I missed the good one. It was just the page plugin which I put on top, and it worked. Still thanks for your time, I love the plug in!

I am happy to hear that you are back on track and heading the right direction. In case someone else should follow this thread as well the setting you have discovered is the “position” setting for the Like Box / Page Plugin feature.

This setting is located by going to your WordPress Dashboard – Facebook Feed – Customize – Misc (tabbed page) – scroll to the “Like Box / Page Plugin section and choose whether or not you wish to have the Like Box / Page Plugin appear at the top of the feed or the bottom.

You can also set the position in which it appears in the feed display within the shortcode itself so when reviewing the example shortcode offered above you can simply change “likeboxpos=bottom” to “likeboxpos=top”. Setting the position in shortcode allows you to override the setting in the general plugin and now offers the availability to position differently for different feeds on your site if you so choose.
