    Hi πŸ‘‹

I launched a website with woocommerce a few months ago with a Themeforest theme that includes WP Bakery but I’m starting to feel limited especially to optimize the mobile version. I’ve + 130 products, +/- 10 articles blog, and some pages like contact, FAQ …

I’d like to switch to Elementor Pro with OceanWP, Hello or Astra but this is where the problems start, I’m not sure how to make the transition well.

My current site has to stay online (I can do a maintenance of one week maximum). I thought about working locally to be quiet and then upload it out online but I’m not sure. Do I Have to restart from scratch ? Should i work directly on my online site ? Or do I just have to transfer the theme folder to wp-content/theme and not the whole “site” ? I prefer this option but I read that some WPBakery code could stay and slow down the site, and I don’t want to lose my databse of customers.

    Thanks !

  • i have the same issue. I am trying to find a solution for switching from WPBakery … Its unbelievable heavy.

I am surprised no one is here who could respond.

U got to remove the shortcode from the WPBakery and rebuild completely.

As for theme, GeneratePress, OceanWP, Astra will be a better choice.
