Switching taxonomy Terms

    Hello,
    I have taxonomy switcher plug in working with the S&F but I can not seem to display my tags as check boxes when I add a New Portfolio Item.

    I set,
    Taxonomy to switch from: Tags
    Taxonomy to switch to: Equipment

    But I do not see my tags displayed in that Project Category. Can you please help me display my tags under each project category so I can check them when I create each new portfolio item?
    Please see attached image. (on the left is the issue, on the right is what I need it to look like.)

    It sounds like the registered taxonomy you may have switched the terms to is not set to be hierarchical, which makes them behave more like categories, with the checkboxes etc, instead of the text field with some autocomplete but still typing them all out.

    That’s the first place I’d check.

    Hello Michael,
    I am not understanding your response. Are you able to provide more clarity or perhaps a screen shot?

    I don’t understand my next action steps. I have ensured that the registered taxonomy is set to NOT hierarchical and I am still having the issue. Please see screenshot and explain.

    Yes, your taxonomies are NOT hierarchical, which is why they’re behaving like tags, and not categories. If you’re wanting the checkbox version like you see with post categories, they should be set to be hierarchical.
