Hi @reformar
Thanks for reaching out.
We do have a similar bug about this one, but it was already fixed on 6.0.4. Could I ask for a screenshot or a screen recording on how you’re translating the “list” and “month”? I’d like to replicate the issue on my end.
Moreover, please also provide the version of the following. This will help me understand how your system is set up.
- PHP
- WordPress
- The Events Calendar
- Theme
Of course.
Here is where I go to edit the language in Canadian French:

This is for the label of the button:

And this is for the string in general:

This is Canadian English:

For the button label and string in general, both translate to Month then month.
Do note that once the language switches to Canadian French, it refuses to load up the Month view.
As for my versions:
PHP: 7.4.33 (Supporte les valeurs 64 bits)
WordPress: 6.1.1
The Events Calendar: Version 6.0.9 par The Events Calendar
Theme: JupiterX Child (jupiterx-child) Version1.0.0

Hi @reformar
Thanks for your response and for providing additional details.
I tried replicating the issue on my end, but it’s working as expected. Could you try activating only The Events Calendar, Loco Translate, WP 2020 theme, and check if that makes a difference?

Moreover, if you also have a caching plugin or server-side caching, please try deactivating them for now and check if that helps.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi @reformar
I hope you are well. I wanted to follow up about the issue you encountered.
Were you able to try the suggestions above?
Let me know how it goes.
Hello!
I’ve tested as requested. With the WP theme on, Loco translate and The Events Calendar on, I am able to switch views in French with no issue, back and forth (previously it didn’t allow for Month view after the first click).
I was unable to load it in English until I reactivated Polylang, which controls the widget that lets me switch between the versions of the site. Once this was done, I accessed the Surveys page and the language shift happened the moment I switched views.

Hi @reformar
Thanks for your confirmation and I’m glad that it is now working.
If you have some time to review, that would be amazing!

I’d be closing this thread, and please do not hesitate to bump a new thread on our way. This allows us to track topics/issues efficiently and follow the WordPress Forum Guidelines
Actually, the issue is only partly resolved, since the language keeps switching to French and refuses to go back to English :\
