  • Hi Fatima,

I am sorry for the delay.

As checked, you are currently running the latest version of Sydney theme (2.06) along with your child theme.

The issues on the layout for your header and footer section may be related to your child theme’s incompatibility towards the main theme. So, you should check your child theme’s code and make some necessary changes.

Does Sydney theme needs child theme anymore plz help me as my website is complete mess now.

It depends on your child theme’s purpose. If you want to make the theme a little unique with your own particular modifications to represent your identity/brand, you’ll need a child theme.

Adding, before disabling your child theme, you may want to visit this documentation to know about child theme.
