Syntax error

My website is rochesternydivorce.lawyer and I was trying to add google analytics tracking code to my child theme function. Now the website just comes up as this “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/carolynchaselaw/public_html/wp-content/themes/customizr-child/functions.php on line 6” I cant login to fix anything and I dont have FTP access. I need help asap all of my content was on that website

Hi,

How were you editing functions.php before the crash? Was it thru the WP admin UI?

In any case I think it will be difficult unless you do get FTP access or access your hosting account and use a file manager or something like that to edit or temporarily rename functions.php

Also there are some nice Google analytics plugins you can use so you dont have to worry about editing your functions.php

I don’t completely understand your question, I was on my website/wb-admin appearances- editor- functions php

Yes I think I was on WO admin UI, how do I know if I have FTP access?

Ok, so it sound like you were editing it inside WP.

To get FTP access or CPanel access you need to talk to your hosting provider.

Thanks for your help, I contacted my host site and they fixed the site for me, but could you point me in the direction of a google analytics plugin I could use? I dont want to mess around with code anymore after what happened
