Syntax Error r, unexpected '

    I accidentally changed something in my coding and got a error so i deleted what I changed and pasted the original coding back into the CSS. Then I got this error :

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas03_data02/42/2267042/html/wp-content/themes/columbus/custom/listings-search-form.php on line 7

    and I am locked out of my wordpress admin. Ive read an understood that you can use FTP to change the file. However I am having difficulty connecting. As well I dont know what to look for when trying to fix the coding. What does the ‘<‘ mean?
