Syntax error unexpected

    I installed a new wordpress 4.5, when add Gmail SMTP and want to activate it, the following message showed up. The plugin doesn’t activate.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ‘)’ in /home/www/web21/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/gmail-smtp/google-api-php-client/src/Google/autoload.php on line 19

    Any ideas what happen?
