“Syntax error, unexpected …” – WordPress fatal error (email)

Hi,

my wordpress-site obviously is running into a EME-generated error, while I’m not active on the site.

Every few days, I get an e-mail from my wordpress-site, telling me, that there was a “fatal error” on my site.

(my site in on german, i translated some parts)

Error-Details

• WordPress-Version 6.2.2
• Plugin: Events Made Easy (Version 2.4.2)
• PHP-Version 7.4.33

An error of the type 
E_PARSE 
was caused in line 231 of the file
/var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/wp-content/plugins/events-made-easy/eme-filters.php 
Error message: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ')'

How to avoid this?
