• Hi there, after restoring a backup from my laptop to the server, now the new wordpress additional css page (in appearence => customise) doeant have any Syntax Highlighting, Linting, and Auto-completion.
    the backup vrsion had all that before though.
    what happened?
    i updated my wordpress after that to 5.4 but the problem still there.
    my theme is avada 6.2.2 (latest), i didnt see the problem before updating the theme.

  • Go to your User profile and see if you checked the box for disabling syntax checking.

    Oh, Thank you very much Joy.
    I wonder why would WordPress add this option? would anybody be interested in that?

    It is very useful! The script that checks syntax is slow, for one thing. It is also out of date, and marks some newer syntax as errors. Since you can’t save with errors, being able to turn it off can be the only way to save newer syntax.
