    After adding php_value max_execution_time 0 to my .htaccess file, I get a 500 Error
    This is what the log file looks like with and without php_value max_execution_time 0.

    It might be that your web server isn’t configured to handle that directive. I would contact your host and ask them for a work-around as you need the PHP process to continue running without it being forcefully killed.
