• in version 2.5.1, anytime I compose new article, wordpress takes all system resources. It makes computer running very slow. When viewing in Activity Monitor (in Mac) or Task Manager (in Windows), my Firefox takes many CPU. I believe it’s just in version 2.5.1.

Am I missing any setting? I have no plugin
    Thank you

I am having the same problem. at the Write Post page, it drives CPU Usage up to 100% for both IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.14. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This did not happen until I upgraded to 2.5.1.

Same problem here — using browsers and versions as MacInTheBox. It also didn’t occur with me till the 2.5.1 upgrade. Like advnet, I’m not running any plugins.

I notice the save and publish buttons are flicked all the time. Is that the reason? Is there anyway to resolve it?

The flicking of the save and publish buttons is the auto-save function isn’t it?

Me too… all of the above. Any posts on resolution?

Yes, I believe it’s the auto saving function, but in settings, I could not find out anywhere to disable it. Any idea?

I’m experiencing the same problems. The problem is so bad I’ll revert back to 2.5.0 is there is no resolution posted soon. It is making WP entirely unusable.
