Table cannot be saved

    Hey Tobias,

    unfortunately I am having another issue with Tablepress.

    Every time I want to save the table I receive the following message:

    “Speichern fehlgeschlagen: AJAX call successful, but unclear data. Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.”

    When I do hold the “Shift” key It says:

    “Fehler: Die Tabelle konnte nicht gespeichert werden.”

    Even though I received the messages, It always seemed like my table was saved nonetheless and I just ignored the warning. But today I made some changes to my table and realized that the latest changes cannot be seen by visitors that are not logged into WordPress.

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    Does your table have a table description? If not, please add one, even, if it’s just a text like “(no description)”. Some servers seem to have problems when this text is empty, as I have noticed recently.

    Hey thank you for your quick reply and excuse my late answer.

    The table always had a description. This does not cause the problem.

    I observed the phenomenon and made the following observation:
    It seems like the changes I make are saved after all but will only be shown to logged in users. Some time later the changes were also visible for other users.

    Hi,

    that’s still weird. This could then maybe be a caching problem.

    Do you see the error message consistently? If so, it would be good if I could take a direct look. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!
