This is a fab plugin…however, I have come across a small problem with my table which contains a range of contact details.
The last column (4) is hidden and contains the same data as columns 0-3 plus additional data (address, phone number, email address etc). I would like data from column 4 to be toggled when clicking on the green plus sign, as in the example here https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/.

I have updated the table shortcode, and tried using custom command (as in other support requests having the same issue) but I can’t get the hidden column to show.

    Thank you for your help

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

How did you hide that fourth column? It can not be hidden on the table’s “Edit” screen, as it’s then not available to the JS code.

    Hi Tobias,

Thank you for your answer. I have un-hidden the column, so it now appears on the table. That’s the one I’d like to have in the expand/collapse view.

    Hi,

this is actually what’s happening for me now. That column with the extra information is automatically collapsed.

    Hi Tobias,
I’ve just tried on a phone and a tablet and you are right, it works fine.
On a desktop computer though, the column isn’t collapsed. Is there a way of achieving this?
    Thank you

    Hi,

for me, they are collapsed on a desktop as well. But this might depend on the browser and screen size. Unfortunately, I don’t really know a way to actually force the column to always be collapsed when the page is loaded 🙁
You could maybe experiment with making the content in the first four columns wider (so that the fifth column does not fit anymore and there is shown collapsed).

    Regards,
    Tobias
