We have 1200 inventory items with each having 50 fields. On our catalog display page we are only showing 8 of those fields. Is the program database fetching all 50 fields for each item or only the 8? Any thoughts on speed enhancements? We’re also using DataTable but that doesn’t seem to be the problem.

And to directly answer your question, no. The system does not grab every field every time. It handles that through the query and based on the display settings you chose for the listing view.

While you site is not slow, it isn’t exactly fast either. But, the issues as that report above I gave point out lie outside of the WPIM plugin.
