Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
I’m not really sure what you mean here. Can you maybe take a screenshot of that (you can create one by pressing “Print” on the keyboard on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+3 on a Mac, and then upload it to a service like https://imgur.com/) and post the link here?
Regards,
Tobias
Hi,
thanks for the clarification!
Indeed, the way how the table cell size is now calculated is more similar to common spreadsheet software, like e.g. Excel. Also, the way how to change that width (for the current page load) is the same: You can drag columns wider using the border line between the column letters (A, B, C, etc.) in the header row.
For a more permanent solution, you can set new default values, using https://tablepress.org/extensions/input-field-size/

I’m really sorry, but this version makes me very sad. I work with extended tables with many cells and now I keep scrolling. Is it also possible to include the advanced editor in the context menu under the right mouse button? In any case, that would make a difference.
And if not, how can I downgrade to an earlier version of Tablepress?
Hi,
I’m still looking into ways to make the cells less tall again, but due to a different HTML code structure, this has shown to not be easy 🙁
Yes, the “Advanced Editor” is in the context menu as well! In addition, it’s available with a keyboard shortcut (just type Ctrl + E while focussing a cell).
If you really want to go back to the old version, you can download it from https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/tablepress.1.14.zip

Thank you, i think i will do so.
