    Good evening!

I have table in Excel and Latvian language and have some problems when i import my .CSV file in webpage. My row stars with this text. I convert my Excel file to CSV file and import in webpage – image here. After that all my spell “ā, ē, ū, ž” looks very weird – here is image.

    Any suggestions?

    Best regards

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Can you please check if the CSV file actually contains the correct characters, by opening the file in a text editor? My guess is that they are wrong there already…

I really cant find which one of character sets is best for me. When i make table in Baltic character set, then in .csv file everything is good, when i check in .txt file they go weird again. Really don’t know what to do.

    Hi,

I would suggest to use UTF-8 as much as possible. That’s what normally works best, and WordPress usually also uses that in the database – and that’s also what TablePress uses then.
