I use one row / one column TablePress tables on various posts (such as the example linked to above) on my WordPress site (v 6.7.1) using a StudioPress theme (also latest version installed). The tables contain text and a link to a signup page for my lead magnet. I have updated to TablePress 3.0. Not sure whether the update has caused my issue but now the tables are showing with a strange drop down “entries per page” menu and a search box above and the text “No data available in table” below in bold, also below: the text “Showing 0 of 0 entries” and left and right arrows. Any ideas why this might be happening / how to solve it? (I’m not a coder, I have added the tables using the Custom html block in the WordPress editor.) Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

This is indeed caused by a behavioral change in tables with exactly one row.

Previously, these were automatically converted into a table with just a body row (and no table header). As this is actually wrong to do, the behavior has changed.

To correct this on your site (and to again get rid of the undesired control elements), you would therefore please need to set the number of “Table Head” rows from 1 to 0, for all tables that have exactly one row. You can find this setting at the top of the “Table Options” section on each table’s “Edit” screen.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Vielen Dank, Tobias! This fix works great. What a relief! I was worried I’d have to start adding snippets of code or something and mess everything up. I really appreciate your rapid response. Gareth
