I have a client/friend using tablepress in an environment that doesn’t support cron, thus they’re faced with updating their table manually (upload a CSV). It’s a daily operation, as it’s the tap list at their beer bar and taproom (http://thirstyhop.com).

Until they migrate to a more powerful host later this year, they’d like to enable their staff to perform table updates. Unfortunately it appears that only admins can perform the operation. They’re reluctant to give their employees admin access to their wordpress install just to upload a table :-).

Any approach you can think of to allowing non-admins to doing so?

    Thanks!

    Leo

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m a bit confused about what exactly you mean here. Importing tables via the “Import” screen is allowed to Admins, Editors, and Authors.
(Changing the configuration for the automatic import is only available to Admins, but as you are able to use that due to the missing cron jobs, that shouldn’t be an issue here.)

    Regards,
    Tobias

Ah. Thanks for the confirmation. Looks like another plugin was in the way.

    Thanks!
