Mobile plugin loading uses the strings you enter on the settings page in the user agent string box to match the user agent string of the browser. So if you have an ipad then entering ipad will match it and load whatever you have set in the mobile columns.
So if I want tablets to load the same plugins as desktops then I shouldn’t enter anything at all into the user agent string box?
Also, there are default mobile strings that work automatically without entering anything in the settings?
If you don’t enter anything in the user agent string text area then nothing will match. There is a default list that gets set when you install plugin organizer. It should cover tablets.
Here is the default list.
mobile
bolt
palm
series60
symbian
fennec
nokia
kindle
minimo
netfront
opera mini
opera mobi
semc-browser
skyfire
teashark
uzard
android
blackberry
iphone
ipad
I removed ipad but do you know which strings are also tablets besides ipad? I want to remove all strings associated with tablets. Thanks
By the way, the default list is more extensive than what you have listed here. I don’t recall touching the default list at any time.
What list do you have? That’s the only one I remember programming into it. These are browser strings. Opera mini for instance can run on a tablet or phone.

I don’t remember ever touching this list. What I’m trying to exclude tablets because I want tablets to be treated like a desktop. Any suggestion for achieving this?
typo – I’m trying to exclude tablets. I want only mobile devices in this list.
That’s not the list I put in the code. I’m not sure what some of those are. It does a string match on the browser string. You’ll have to do some research to find the strings you’ll need to remove. Like I said. Some mobile browsers are able to run on a tablet or a phone.
