Tabs – How to display?

Firstly, the plugin is really well done and I appreciate your hard work!!

I’m not able to get tabs to display. We have lots (50+) and they change frequently, otherwise I would create a page for each tab.

Here’s an example, using the iFrame option, of why we need them: http://surfwsa.org/ratings/
(note all the different tabs for divisions)

What shortcode are you using?

Thanks for your response. Just using the standard shortcode because I didn’t see anything shortcode options specific to tabs:
[gdoc key=”https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xRAg9RiaEN8OSFVM5qJ6v1DGiN1vzLZO2tIkITDhnig/pubhtml” ]

If by “tab” you mean “a tab in my Google Sheet, i.e., a specific spreadsheet within the Google Sheet worksheet,” then you can simply paste the URL your browser shows while editing the sheet into the key attribute of the shortcode.

That will look something like https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xRAg9RiaEN8OSFVM5qJ6v1DGiN1vzLZO2tIkITDhnig/edit#gid=123456789

Did Google change something? I don’t see a gid in the URL…
and when I do gid=2, i still see the first at
http://yepcheck.com/yoga/tools/yepyoga-bodyparts/

For your spreadsheet, @rcsmit, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NGdERLK40Q9XoqW-XoHF6AS2KiJ-L6PtMsFDMy5_s-8/edit#gid=585705508 is the bodyparts tab. Notice the gid fragment at the very end. When using this in a shortcode, just copy and paste the URL of the spreadsheet you want to the key attribute of the shortcode.

Thank you very much! Where did you find that gid number??? It got me puzzled for a long time…

Try this…
1. Open your Google Sheet
2. Click on the “File” menu
3. Select “Publish to the web”
4. Under the “Link” section… select the tab/sheet you’re wanting to publish from the dropdown menu
5. A unique URL is displayed for that tab/sheet, which contains the GID
6. Click the “Publish” buttton (if not already published)
