• I have a family website in wordpress – twenty twenty five theme. It is set up so that only registered users can access. The site is used by my spouse and children (user role = global), my spouses extended family (user role = fam1) and my extended family (user role = fam2).

I would like to tailor it so that on login global user sees all, fam1 sees fam1 and fam2 sees fam2. I plan to add top level albums for fam1 and fam2 and place all photos in respective sub albums. Using this approach, can I restrict user access based on the role – both for viewing and front end upload?

Also, is there a way I can tweak the POTD by role – I currently randomly display a PTOD from all albums, but if I could assign it to randomly select from one or other top level (fam1 or fam2) album or both based on the role, I could tailor the opening page experience.

Currently this is not yet possible, but you suggest a usefull improvement, so i will consider it to implement it in a later version.
