Taking the php code from the function of a widget

Hi,

I am using a really clever theme called Geotheme from templatic and it has almost all functions as widgets which is really clever if you don’t want do do any customization of the theme.

I have made a new template page that I am using for a section of the site called “events” where I would like to manually place the php code from a particular widget that places a grid view of the latest events (categories) with a thumbnail and some text, but I don’t know how.

Alternatively I would like to make my Template page show up as an option to place widgets in the widget area..

Please help me!
