    Hi Baden,

I don’t need Pro but happy to purchase it immediately as a thank you if you can help me out.

Site is http://torontoseoguy.ca/ but to get past the coming soon page, please use this URL…
    http://torontoseoguy.ca/et

Click Testimonials on top nav and scroll down to end of 4th testimonial. You’ll see my trigger text which uses this…

    [expand title=”Show More Testimonials” trigclass=”noarrow” swaptitle=” “]

My intention is that the remaining testimonials (after the 4th one) should be hidden unless “Show More Testimonials” is clicked… but I can’t get the remaining testimonials to ‘hide’.

If you scroll to the bottom of the last testimonial you’ll see that the [/expand] tag is visible, which obviously it shouldn’t be.

I’m using Divi Theme by Elegant Themes if that matters, and all of the testimonials were created using the theme’s ‘page builder’.

Appreciate if you have a couple of minutes to look at the source code for anything I might be missing.

    Thank you kindly Baden!

Apologies — inadvertently omitted adding tags to my post as requested (and now it won’t let me). Sorry about that.

The target is simply not being added. can you post a more accurate example of the shortcoe you are using?
    [expand title="Show More Testimonials" trigclass="noarrow" swaptitle=" "] [/expand]
Alternately, if you would like us to take a look, you may contact us direct at support [at] twinpictures [dot] de… please include a link to this thread.

When you say “The target is simply not being added”, are you saying that *I* haven’t added the target properly, or that I have but things aren’t working as expected?

    All I did is this:

Added this before the target content:
    [expand title=”Show More Testimonials” trigclass=”noarrow” swaptitle=” “]

… and added this after the target content:
    [/expand]

I have left all the defaults in the plugin settings.

    Have I left something out?

Thanks again, and if you still need more details I’ll contact you directly.

No, I mean for some reason there is no target being added. It might have something to do with the content that is being added into the space between the[expand] {/expand] tags.

You might try using the roll-your-own method to ensure the target is being inserted.

It turns out, you where forgetting the closing [/expand] tags. Glad it all worked out. Issue marked as resolved.

I did include a closing [/expand] tag. My exact setup looks like this (between the === signs):

    =======================

    [expand title=”Show More Testimonials” trigclass=”noarrow” swaptitle=” “]

    Target content.

    [/expand]

    =======================

Are you saying there is supposed to be an additional closing [/expand] tag somewhere?

Still not resolved. I did receive some fast responses from your direct support (I have Pro) and was asked to provide access to my WP admin – which I’m fine with – but first would appreciate your response here.

    Thanks Baden.

Oops, sorry, Issue reopend. Was a separate issue with the missing closing tags.
The issue is we can not re-create this on our test server. There must be some issue on your page that is preventing the targets from being created.

    Your two options are:
    1) Build a sample page with just the collapse element and verify that works. Keep adding elements from the original page until you discover what is breaking the shortcode.

    2. you use the roll-your-own method to ensure the target elements get created. Here is a step-by-step overview on how to create elements using the roll-your-own method

Unless you provide more details on exactly how you are building the expand elements that are not working, we can not help, as we can not recreate the issue on this end.
