Hi there!
> shall I install taxjar? really???
There’s no need to install TaxJar. Our plugin just communicates with TaxJar in order to get tax rates.
I just added a product to my cart on your website, and I do see the tax being calculated correctly at checkout, once the address has been entered: https://d.pr/i/VK3XDg
Is the following the only thing showing in debug?
01-15-2021 @ 13:38:52 – :::: TaxJar Plugin requested :::: (WCS Tax)
Maybe your hosting provider didn’t temporarily allow the plugin to communicate with our backend?
Could you please confirm if some settings have changed or new plugins have been installed?
Let me know if this helps!
In the meantime, stay healthy and stay safe!
Francesco
Hi, everything is updated.. I’ve tried to deactivate and re-activate various plugins and nothing happened.
I just added a product to my cart on your website, and I do see the tax being calculated correctly at checkout, once the address has been entered:
Yes, but it should show taxes also before entering the exact address… it sees that I’m in Italy but doesn’t apply taxes until I enter the exact location.. this is my problem.
If you navigate in incognito and go to the product page it should show you the price comprehensive of taxes based on your ip location..
Hi there!
The plugin calculates the taxes only once it has the the customer’s country and zip code values.
It is accurate that the customer is geolocated by WooCommerce by their IP address, but only the customer’s country value is geolocated.
The customer would still need to manually enter their zip code in order to get their taxes.
As an alternative, you could use another plugin to get more information based on the customer’s IP address. However, we can’t indorse any specific plugins.
Would you be able to provide more debug information, to confirm whether WooCommerce Shipping & Tax has all the information or not?
Thanks again!
Francesco
So if it really works in this way, my problem is solved.
Probably when I was running my tests the address remained in memory and therefore I directly visualized the amounts including VAT even before completing the checkout.
You can close the case, I thank you for the clarification.

That could be a possibility as well!
Buon fine settimana!
