Taxonomy Archive Shortcode

I’m writing my first plugin and using custom post types with custom taxonomies. I have a short code to display my custom post type. I want to use a short code to display the custom taxonomy archive so I dont have to do a new template file every time that I change themes.

Is it possible and can someone direct me to some place where I can read up about it or give me some sample code 🙂
