Taxonomy won’t delete properly

Hello!

I installed your CPT UI plugin and was trying it out. I created a taxonomy called ”author” and then deleted it. Then I was trying to create a new taxonomy with the same name and even though the old taxonomy is deleted, the plugin says ”Please choose a different taxonomy name. author is already registered.”

The taxonomy isn’t showing up in the plugin menu and not in the post editor. I also tried reinstalling the plugin but the problem persists.

How can this be fixed?
