WordPress Support has notified me that TaxoPress has and error in its plugin which disabled my Blog.

WordPess Support sent me this message:

“For this “Taxopress” seems to the plugin but it is currently with error. To use this feature, the best option would be to contact the plugin support and asking them to fix this error.”

Please notify me when repair is done.

    Thank you

Here is some additional information I received from WordPress regarding this issue:

Howdy! Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email. In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, TaxoPress. First, visit your website (https://carljungdepthpsychologysite.blog/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://carljungdepthpsychologysite.blog/wp-admin/plugins.php) and check for any visible issues. Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further. If your site appears broken and you can't access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special "recovery mode". This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further. https://carljungdepthpsychologysite.blog/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=ddBU4JURXVhQS2x5HNnfA3&rm_key=cgtOIxYngbw64V463i87Ci To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don't worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires. When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information: WordPress version 6.1.1 Active theme: Rowling (version 1.1.1-wpcom) Current plugin: TaxoPress (version 3.6.5) PHP version 8.0.28 Error Details ============= An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 296 of the file /srv/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/simple-tags/inc/functions.inc.php. @devin104 I can confirm you’re not testing with the version provided above.

The strip_tags is no longer on LINE 296 as shown in the error message provided.

Can you try again and make sure you’re testing with the version linked in my last comment?

I contacted WordPress support and they fixed the “Critical Error” message and deleted the TaxoExpress” plugin.

Sorry but I am going to try an alternative source.
