    Dear: Good evening.
I see that, in some update, they enabled the possibility of compressing using Brotli. Good.
But, I have the following doubt…
In Performance/Browser Cache/General/Enable compression (Either gzip or brotli)/More information it says that…
…”While Brotli compression is more powerful than gzip, the Brotli compression process is slower, so gzip is preferable if you host a large amount of dynamic content that cannot be cached”…
Frankly I don’t know if this is my case.
    So, I ask you…
Is there a problem if I enable BOTH compression methods at the same time?
Note: I ask you because, once the corresponding extension (brotli) was enabled in the General Settings panel, you did NOT put any limitations in this regard. That is to say, BOTH boxes can be left checked (both the gzip and brotli ones).
Therefore, there is NO impediment to doing so.
But, before making a fuss, I prefer to ask them, heh.
    I await your comments.
From already thank you very much.
    Greetings.

    Hello @atutrabajocoach

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!

The Brotli option was available for a long time in the W3 Total Cache Browser Cache options. It’s only up to your server configuration if the brotli extension is enabled on the server if the Brotli can be used or not.

To answer your question, you can use both brotli and gzip compression at the same time. THe brotli is favored by the most of the browsers, so in case that some browser does not support Brotli, gzip wll kick in.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!

Hello. Thank you for responding so quickly (As always).
    And thanks for your response.
Regarding the brotli thing, frankly I had not seen it.
Ergo, it seems that this configuration appeared in some of your many updates and I did not see it because I have had that section (Browser Cache) configured like this for a long time. Anyway.
I’ll do what you say (check both types of compression) and see what happens).
    For now that’s all.
    Thanks, again.
    Greetings.
