    On 2 sites I work with utterly hacked up versions of b2 which will let me do: domain.com/category/article. It would be *very* nice if in the permalinks options we get the optional tags %category% and %sub-category%.
    The date linking goes perfect but I want my virtual path to be about the category a post is in, not which date it relates to.

    Sounds good.
    I’m helping to convert a 7000+ hard coded HTML site. It either goes into a hacked version of b2 or into WordPress. The need for the category in the URL is absolute on this site. Would I be better of hacking away at WP right now to implement this or is the %category% plan a short term expectation?
