Template Color Problems

I am having problems with the Ten Twenty template.

How do I remove or change the color of the white space in between the banner and the menu bar.

How do I get the drop down menu in the menu bar to be the same color as the menu bar?

On the bottom of the page is a black bar (footer?), how I do remove that or change it to white?

Lastly, for some reason the whole template does not display correctly in internet explorer. Is there an easy fix for this?
