Downloaded a template file; extracted and copied to /wp-admin/themes/template name folder as intructions appear to tell me to do; theme won’t display in my “Design” panel. Have cleared temporary files (and files stored locally). What’s next?

    thx

Maybe the theme doesn’t have all the template files necessary.

What theme was it? Please provide a link to download the theme.

Works okay for me. How many files do you see in the wp-content/themes/wp-garden folder?

You should see one sub-folder, and 16 files.

When you unzip the files, winzip or winrar will create a folder for the files, and then within the folder there will be another folder named the same, this second folder will contain all your files, are you uploading the second folder or the original folder?

Try and upload the second folder and see if this clears your problems, sorry I couldn’t be more help

Yep, this theme should work fine. I just double checked the download link and all the files are intact. Are you sure you’re putting it in the correct directory?

Yup. That’s what I have–16 files, plus Images.

    It’s in public-html/blogs/wp-admin/themes/wp-garden

    It is supposed to be
    wp-content/themes/wp-garden

    not
    wp-admin/themes/wp-garden

Please review Themes, adding new themes.

    That would do it. Thx.
