Template link not working

    On my site

    [su_posts id="3487"]
    amd
    [su_posts id="3487" template="templates/single-post.php"]

    work, but

    [su_posts id="3487" template="/wp-content/themes/marketo-child/templates/popup.php"]

    does not

    I have copied the template single-post.php to popup.php at the path above and followed the documentation as far as it is understandable to me
