    Is there a way to code the shortcode to list the directory by category? I’d like my readers to be able to select a category they’re interested in and then find the business they want.

    Sorry, no, there is not a way to group the directory entry listing by category. However, you can filter the list by category.

    For example, navigate to the Connections Categories admin page, mouse over one of the categories, and click the View link.

    The page will reload, displaying the directory filtered by the category clicked.

    You can copy-paste these view links to create your own category filter list of links, or you can use a premium template to allow the user to filter by the chosen category:
