You can deactivate URE at any time. All changes you made to the roles are permanent. Settings will stay in place. URE will delete its settings only when you delete it with “Delete” link under plugin row at the Plugins list.
Be aware – URE adds additional security measures to protect the default admin account from other users who were granted edit users permissions. When URE is deactivated that protection is not active too.
Great! I assume when I deactivate… all of my current users with assigned roles created in URE will be modified. When I deactivate, will their URE role be automatically given back to them?
All changes you made: new roles, updated roles, roles assigned to the users are permanent. URE deactivation will not roll back any changes.
