Terminal output

Whats the best way to display terminal output? For instance, i would like to display the output of a terminal session i had on a storage appliance. i would like to have uniform color of all text, with exception of when i run a command (I can select the highlight option for that). I do not notice any language that does this (not even default). I notice that when I toggle “plain code” the dark theme i have goes away and so does my line highlighting. Any solution for this?
