• Hi
First off all thanks for this great plug-in.

I have a little question about the test of “Admin user exist”:
I have found an article (“robrota . com / utente-admin-e-sicurezza-di-wordpress/” the article is in italian and i have add the blank space to the domain for not create link) who suggest to create a username “Admin” with ID=1 but after create a new admin user and downgrade the first to “No Role”.

With this system (the istruction explained) the eventually attach under the site to find the first user (ID=1) and found the relative password ending without result (this user can’t logged into admin area) but with great lost of timeing.

I think that is a good idea and i have start to use this system…
what do you think about it?
    There’s some controindications?

if you think that is a good idea can you change this test (and the test about a ID=1) for check it an error only if this is an administrator?

  • Hi, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback!

You’re completely right! Don’t know how we missed this 🙁 We should definitely check if user “admin” and user “ID=1” have admin privileges. Will add that in the next update!
