I’ve installed the plugin successfully and I’ve tested it using my site’s own SMTP service.

However, when I reply to a comment, I don’t receive emails.

Note: I have only tested it on my sandbox site and I don’t want to move it to my live site before I get it working.

    Hi @kenmac54,

Thanks for reaching out! First of all, kindly ensure that you have configured a miler on your site. You can see all the available mailers from here.

WordPress doesn’t automatically offer a feature to send notifications to commenters. However, it does provide the ability to notify site administrators via email when a new comment is posted or when a comment is awaiting moderation.

To access these settings, go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Settings » Discussion page, and look for the ‘Email me whenever’ section. For more information, please review this guide.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

I’m sorry. I misled myself and, in turn, misled you.

I installed the plugin “Comment Reply Email Notification“. And when I found that I wasn’t receiving email notifications, I read their suggestion to install your plugin but it still doesn’t work. Now I’m in the situation where I don’t know if it’s yours or their plugin or my stupidity that’s causing the problem. And I don’t really know where to start.
