Test Mode?

    Is there a way to put Age Gate in test mode while I am setting it up? As soon as you activate the plugin, it is on without me having a chance to figure out how to customize it the way I want. I don’t want it to be active (seen by site visitors) until I have it set up up and customized properly.

    Hi @kmacb,

    No there’s no test mode as such, but you can make one fairly easily buy setting Age Gate to “Selected Content” in the restriction settings, then create a page and set it to be restricted which will allow you to do what you need before setting it on public pages again

    Thanks for getting back to me, Phil. I had actually thought of that workaround myself, but when I choose “Selected Content” it doesn’t give me the option to choose a page. Is there a trick?

    Hi @kmacb,

    In selected mode you choose the pages on the page itself (if that makes sense)

    Thanks Phil, but I can’t see your screen shot. I get an error saying,”Imgur is temporarily over capacity. Please try again later.”

    My site was built using Beaver Builder. Pages use their “themer layouts”. Is that going to be a problem?

    As long as it doesn’t completely nuke the WordPress UI it should be fine.

    Okay, I see it now. I assume when “selected content” is chosen all pages are set to unrestricted by default until I choose to restrict a specific page?
