Well, I updated to 4.8.3, updated by php version in order to make a backup, updated all my plug-ins and tried this program out.

I did not get good results:
    1) this plug-in affected one of my existing contact forms’ fields
    2) the short code for the existing Contact Form 7 could not be found

I deactivated the plug-in and everything returned to normal

Yes, activating the plugin moves fields on one of my existing forms. Deactivating your plugin restores the page.

when you say it moves fields, are you referring to the front-end form css layout being affected?

Yes, the front-end form text/fields are no longer left justified. After activating plugin, the text and fields are left, middle and right. I don’t see an option to share a pic of the fields affected.

Well, I decided to build a new form using your plug in

oh good. However, in the new v1.2.3 I fixed a bug which was loading the styles/js of the plugin on existing cf7 forms which were not designed using this plugin. So now it should not affect existing forms. You will notice that if you edit an existing form (previously created without this plugin) that the grid layout editor is disabled but you can still edit the form in the text editor.
