Testimonials and custom content settings

Hi,
OK, it’s a minor thing but I have custom content activated in jetpack and then Testimonials checked on the Writing page in settings. I have inserted the short code and can see the testimonials I have entered there but….

1. They are in ascending, not descending order which, according to the documentation (and my sensibility) should be the correct order.

2. Is there any way to allow for more lines before it goes to a read more ellipsis?
